Holding a Trip for Future Purchase
If your company permits it, you can place trips on hold if you're not ready to purchase them right away but want to save your selections for later. When a trip is on hold, your selections are saved without charging your credit card, unless a deposit or prepayment is required.
Important Notes:
Car rentals and hotels: You cannot place these on hold independently. The trip must include a flight.
Vendor Policies: Some travel services cannot be held. Each vendor has its own hold policies. If the "Hold This Trip" button is grayed out, click the "More Info" link next to the message "We are unable to hold this trip for you" for details.
Hold Duration: Trips will be automatically canceled by the system if no action is taken within the specified hold period. During the hold process, you will be informed of the exact time when the trip will be auto cancelled if you do not proceed with the purchase.
Pricing Warning: Pricing is not guaranteed until the ticket is purchased.
Steps to Hold a Trip:
On the Review Your Trip or Purchase page click the Hold this trip button.
Name the trip by entering a name in the Name your trip field. That way it will be easier to locate it in the Upcoming .
Complete the required fields and click the Continue button.
Agree to the Traveler Acknowledgement by clicking the Continue button and the confirmation page displays.
Click Done. You trip will show under the Reservations tab.
To Purchase a trip on Hold:
On the Home page, click the Reservation tab in the Upcoming section, locate the trip, and click the trip title to expand the trip information. Â
Click the View Details.
Click the Modify or Purchase button.
Follow the prompts to complete the purchase.
To Cancel a trip on Hold:
On the Home page, click the Reservation tab in the Upcoming section, locate the trip, and click the trip title to expand the trip information. Â
Click the Cancel Trip.
Follow the prompts to complete the purchase.
