Use your mobile device to capture receipts on-the-go and store them in your Digital Wallet. You then attach them to transactions.
Follow these steps:
- Tap Capture a Receipt on the Mobile App main menu, or tap Capture after tapping Expense on the main menu. The camera screen appears with a viewfinder:
- Position the receipt in the viewfinder.
- (Optional) For devices that offer a camera flash, you can tap the flash icon at the top of the screen and set the camera's flash (set to Auto in the above figure).
- (Optional) For devices that offer a front-facing camera, you can tap the switch camera icon at the top of the screen to switch cameras from back to front.
- Tap the big white shutter button to snap the picture. The Receipt screen appears:
- Tap Save to save the picture to the Digital Wallet, or tap Retake to retake the picture. After tapping Retake, you can either retake the photo or tap Cancel.
The receipt images are stored in the Digital Wallet (for more about the Digital Wallet, see Using the Digital Wallet). While stored in the Digital Wallet, the system performs the recognition process for the receipt.
To view receipts, tap Expense, and then tap Receipts. The Receipts screen appears:
Note: When the recognition process finishes, the description appears for the receipt ("Pollaio Restaurant" as shown above), rather than the usual time/date stamp.
You can then tap the following:
- The receipt itself to view the receipt.
- Add to Report at the top of the screen to add receipts to an expense report (see the next section).
- Delete Receipts at the top of the screen to delete receipts. After tapping Delete Receipts, the receipts reappear with circles next to them:
Tap the circle next to each receipt to delete, and then tap Delete (or Cancel).
After capturing a receipt, you can add the receipt to an expense report. See Adding Receipts to an Expense Report with the Mobile App.
